1/ Inactive for new design after 20 March 1974.
Requirements:
1. Material. Brass, in accordance with ASTM B36/B36M, UNS C26000 or UNS C26800, quarter or half hard.
Steel, in accordance with ASTM A108, grade 1018 (UNS G10180) or grade 1212 (UNS G12120)
or ASTM A510, Grade 1020 (UNS G10200)
Corrosion-resisting steel, in accordance with ASTM A666 for cold worked grades, ASTM A693 for precipitation hardening grades and ASTM A240/A240M for all other grades.
2. Protective coating. Brass-nickel plated, in accordance with SAE AMS-QQ-N-290, Class 1, or Chromium plated in accordance with SAE AMS-QQ-C-320, Class 1.
Steel - cadmium plate in accordance with SAE AMS-QQ-P-416, Type II, Class 3. Corrosion-resistant steel, descaled and passivated in accordance with ASTM A380
3. Hardness. Washers shall be 104 HB minimum.
4. Part number. The part number shall consist of the basic MS number, followed by a dash number from
Table I.

MS27129-3 indicates - Washer, finishing countersunk; CRES, passivated, nominal size .112;
.385 maximum outside diameter; .012 thickness.
1. All dimensions in inches.
2. Remove all burrs and sharp edges before finish.
3. These washers can be used with both 82° and 100° countersunk screws..
4. In the event of a conflict between the text of this standard and the references cited herein, the text of this standard shall take precedence.
